Spring Fever!

Spring is right around the corner, and we cannot wait! If you have the itch to visit the greenhouse, we especially invite you to join us for our Spring Fever events in March! Throughout select Saturdays, we provide guided tours of our facility and produce educational seminars to help you in your gardening journey this year.

Raising your expectations

With nearly 400,000 square feet of greenhouse growing space and 572,000 square feet of outdoor production, we raise almost everything from seed, propagation or young plugs, enabling us to keep costs down and quality up. Sunrise Greenhouse specializes in quality bedding plants, hanging baskets, perennials, vegetable plants, trees, shrubs, and hardy fall mums. We produce over 7,600,000 spring annuals, 325,000 perennials, and 210,000 fall mums annually.

Family 0wned

In 1960, Herman Woldhuis and his family moved from Chicago Heights to a 160-acre farm in Grant Park. They raised produce for wholesale, growing onion sets, sugar beets, and tomatoes for Campbell's Soup.
